XML Sitemap Generator is a free tool to create an XML sitemap with custom parameters and publish it on your website.

Create URL

Once you have your sitemap, go to the page and enter the URL of the page you want to be indexed. You can also add an additional URL to track new content on that particular page.

Add page last modification date

You can also add the last time a page was modified, in the yyyy-mm-dd format. The default value will be the current date, which is why we recommend you set this to something more meaningful like “10/1/2018.”

You can change this setting in your settings under 'Sitemap generator.

Change frequency

The frequency of updates is a very important factor that you should consider. You can change it according to your needs and preferences, but it's best not to stay with a fixed schedule for too long, because this may affect the quality of content on your website.

It depends on how often you plan on updating your sitemap file: once every day or twice a week would be good enough if you don't have any other projects going on at that time. If there are several updates planned, then we recommend scheduling them in advance so they don't overlap each other (for example, if one update takes longer than another).

Set priority

To set the priority of your sitemap, go to Settings > Sitemaps. You'll see a drop-down menu where you can select from one of three options:

• Highest – This setting gives the highest priority to your sitemap and will be displayed whenever Googlebot sees it. This is usually what you want if there are no other pages that need to be included in the indexing process.
• Normal – If you're not sure about how important each page of your website is, then use this option as a default for all pages except those that have been marked as "not relevant" by Googlebot (more on that below).
• Lowest - Use this setting if none of the above applies and only want certain pages indexed by Googlebot.
